Book excerpt: Sometimes we ask What is God’s will for my life? when we should really be asking Who should I be? The Bible has an answer: Be like the very image of God. By exploring ten characteristics of who God is—holy, loving, just, good, merciful, gracious, faithful, patient, truthful, and wise—this book helps us understand who God intends for us to be. Through Christ, the perfect reflection of the image of God, we will discover how God’s own attributes impact how we live, leading to freedom and purpose as we follow his will and are conformed to his image.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Lash is capable of explaining the mind-bending concepts of Gnosticism and pagan mystery cults with bracing clarity and startling insight. . . . [His] arguments are often lively and entertaining.”—Los Angeles Times Fully revised and with a new preface by the author, this timely update is perfect for readers of The Immortality Key. Since its initial release to wide acclaim in 2006, Not in His Image has transformed the lives of readers around the world by presenting the living presence of the Wisdom Goddess as never before revealed, illustrating that the truth of an impactful Gnostic message cannot be hidden or destroyed. With clarity, author John Lamb Lash explains how a little-known messianic sect propelled itself into a dominant world power, systematically wiping out the great Gnostic spiritual teachers, the Druid priests, and the shamanistic healers of Europe and North Africa. Early Christians burned libraries and destroyed temples in an attempt to silence the ancient truth-tellers and keep their own secrets. Not in His Image delves deeply into ancient Gnostic writings to reconstruct the story early Christians tried to scrub from the pages of history, exploring the richness of the ancient European Pagan spirituality—the Pagan Mysteries, the Great Goddess, Gnosis, the myths of Sophia and Gaia. In the 15th Anniversary Edition, Lash doubles down on his original argument against redemptive ideology and authoritarian deceit. He shows how the Gnostics clearly foresaw the current program of salvation by syringe, and places the Sophianic vision of life centrally in the battle to expose and oppose the evil agenda of transhumanism, making this well-timed update more relevant than ever. “Sometimes a book changes the world. Not in His Image is such a book. It is clear, stimulating, well-researched, and sure to outrage the experts. . . . Get it. Improve not just your own life, but civilization’s chances for survival.”—Roger Payne, author of Among Whales

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fr. Barthelemy was an internationally recognized expert on Old Testament studies, and a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission. In this work he dispenses with the technical language of exegesis and linguistics, and speaks theologically as a priest, a teacher, a believer. This work is an introduction to the spiritual teaching of the Old Testament, and can greatly help believers to hear that renewing and rejuvenating Word of God with deepened understanding. This is a book about God and man. It is also about the long history of God's search for man and the difficulty man had in keeping intact the divine image in which he was created. The purpose of this book is to present what God says about Himself and about His image (man) in the inspired texts of Scripture. This powerful work by an acclaimed Biblical and spiritual writer can enkindle the heart and enlighten the mind of modern man to see who we truly are in God's eyes, and help us to understand the full extent of our deep need for God to become his faithful followers and images once again.

Book excerpt: Even amid the post-bombing destruction of Occupied Japan in 1947, photographer, Nicholas Orzio was able to reveal the soul of a people and the hope of a nation. This ability to evoke emotion as well as capture the inner beauty of God's creations in his photographs has continued for seven decades, and has given him world-wide recognition. Through his belief that God has endowed each of us with some of his own attributes, Orzio's photographs of ordinary individuals become extraordinary as they collectively reflect His image. '...The insightfulness and vision that Nicholas used in capturing the compelling images in this collection speaks volumes of his ability to not only see what most people never see, but to capture that vision in an image and preserve it forever! Following this work [Beginnings: Images of Occupied Japan]...he allowed his vision to explore and capture the beauty of God's creations. Hopefully this publication will begin to direct the recognition Nicholas deserves for his contribution to the art and science of photography.' —Michael R Scalf Sr, Executive Director, International Photography Hall of Fame

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Everyone who reads the Bible must admit that it tells us to do things that we never have done and cannot do in our fleshly bodies. One reason is that God our Creator is telling us what He wants us to be and do as created in His image and likeness. Our purpose is in our image and likeness of God our Creator, not like the dust of the ground or the flesh of our parents. Most children dont know that they are created in the image and likeness of God, and their parents have not asked God for His spirit for their children so they can be taught this vital truth. The reason parents dont ask God for His spirit for their children is because they dont recognize the need for Him. There are several things mankind cannot do in the flesh, and they must recognize their origin in the image and likeness of God. Mankind must recognize being in the image and likeness of God to, first, love God with all their being and love his neighbors as himself; second, to obey God and his parents as required in Gods word; third, to trust God with all his heart; fourth, to worship God in spirit and in truth; and fifth, to glorify God in his body and spirit, which are God. The devil does not want mankind to know that he is created in the image and likeness of God because man will always defeat Satan and fulfill God's will.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why do we have children? The answer(s) may seem obvious, but have we ever really sat down and thought about the reasons we have children? Our answers reveal that we dont generally see how important or valuable children are to us as individuals and families or, more importantly, to God who creates every child for a purpose. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1: 5) For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And [that] my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, [And] skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When [as yet there were] none of them. (Psalm 139: 1316). Our perception of children determines how we treat our children. World wide, stories abound of child trafficking, child abuse in various forms, children in areas of armed conflict, child labour, and so on, but what about children closer to homeour own children, our nieces and nephews, children of our friends and neighbours? Where ever or whoever we are, we interact with children so whilst this book is primarily for parents, it is for every adult who comes in to contact with children whether at home, work, school, or place of worship. As a mother, I see parenting or looking after children as an honour and privilege and, whilst not easy, being a parent is one of the greatest blessings God has given us. If we look at parenthood through Gods eyes, we will see that we have the greatest opportunity to serve Him and establish His will and purposes on this earth. The lives of our children are more precious in Gods sight than we can ever imagine. Throughout this book, I want to challenge us all to re-examine our views, attitudes and behaviour towards our children. We may give ourselves a pass mark but does what we see today in the lives of our children reflect Gods heart or are we ourselves truly happy with what we see in the lives of our children?
